About

Nestled in a quiet, shaded corner, Rascals is a purpose-built grooming parlour based in the village of Par near St Austell.

Tamsin is a lifelong animal lover and enjoys rambling along the Cornish coastline and countryside with her own Border Terrier and Westie.

She is a fully insured, City & Guilds qualified groomer. She studied Animal Care & Management at college for two years, dealing with small furries, various reptiles, invertebrates and livestock.

It was while working at a boarding kennels which inspired the idea of trying her hand at dog grooming. After a further period of study and training at college, she then worked at a reputable grooming salon for several years to hone her skills as a stylist before deciding to take the leap and start up on her own.

At Rascals, every dog is treated like her own and given one on one attention. Whilst training, she quickly realised that being in a busy, noisy environment can cause unnecessary anxiety and stress for both stylist and pet. This is why the parlour is kept as a quiet, relaxed atmosphere for your dog, especially for those who can be a little shy or skittish, are elderly or have a history of trauma.

Your dog's safety and happiness is top priority, so it's important to make sure that their time spent at the groomers is as stress-free as possible.

Your dog will be given refreshment breaks during their groom and afterwards, some playtime and cuddles too!
Dogs are not put in crates after they're finished. There's a lovely spacious and enclosed garden for them to relax in (weather permitting of course!)

Rascals wants to make sure your dog leaves happy with their tail wagging!
